A literary tour of Charles Nodier’s “Du Fantastique en littérature”

Nodier’s “Du Fantastique en littérature,” published in 1830 in La Revue de Paris, traces the history of fantastic literature from its religious origins to the early nineteenth-century. Throughout his article, Nodier cites many authors and works that are obscure even for today’s literary scholar. I created this StoryMapJS of the literary references found in Nodier’s text to help readers visualize the breadth of his knowledge and to offer more information about the authors and works he cites.
