Positive Activities

Sonja Lyubomirsky, a leading expert, researcher, and author, proposes a variety of theories exploring how we can achieve happiness. Much of Lyubomirsky’s work focuses on understanding the kinds of behaviors that can increase well-being.  She advocates the practice of “positive activities” designed to increase an individual’s happiness. These activities include committing acts of kindness, counting your blessings, living life like it’s your last month, acting more extroverted, writing letters of gratitude, visualizing your best possible future, affirming your most important values, and savoring and replaying happy days (Claremount McKenna College, 2020). Here are some references and tools to help you find positivity in your life.
