Worker Justice Center of New York
The Worker Justice Center of New York’s mission is to pursue justice for those denied human rights with a focus on agricultural and other low wage workers, through legal representation, community empowerment and advocacy for institutional change.
The Urban League of Rochester was founded in 1965 in the wake of racial unrest and riots that crippled the Rochester community. The formation of the agency, which is an affiliate of the National Urban League, was intended to address the material needs of poor and minority citizens in areas such as housing, employment, education, health and economic parity.
Center for Teen Empowerment – Rochester
Since 2003, Teen Empowerment has employed hundreds of Rochester youth who have engaged thousands of their peers, adults, and community leaders in youth-led initiatives. Working in southwest Rochester, open mic nights, PeaceBQs, and other safe social gatherings where youth use the arts to share ideas and inspiring, positive messages. Youth also organize and facilitate group sessions and forums that create deep and meaningful dialogue among teens and between youth and adults, community leaders, educators, and police.
TE youth organizers work on policy initiatives that engage public officials, bring youth voice to decision making, and work to create institutional and systemic change.

Genesee Valley NYCLU – American Civil Liberties Union of New York
The Genesee Valley Chapter is dedicated to safeguarding the liberties and rights of the people we serve through advocacy and litigation; legislative action; and public education. We are involved in state and national issues, with a special focus on members of the greater Rochester area and nine county Genesee Valley region.
