The Center for Sexual Health and Wellness of Livingston County (https://www.livingstoncounty.us/190/Center-for-Sexual-Health-and-Wellness) offers a wide range of confidential and free or low-cost reproductive and sexual health services including (but not limited to):

• Birth control education, counseling, and a broad range of methods (including long-acting reversible contraception such as IUDs and implants, as well as emergency contraception)
• Pregnancy testing and counseling
• Counseling and testing for HIV
• Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections
• Gynecological care (including pap smears, vaginal or breast concerns, and annual exams)
• Expedited treatment for partners of individuals who have been diagnosed with an STI
• Referral services

The Monroe County Sexual Health Clinic, a designated New York State Center of Excellence, serves Rochester and the surrounding areas.  Among other services, they provide partner notification services for those who have been diagnosed with HIV, STI and HIV testing and treatment, reproductive health services, and expedited treatment for partners of individuals who have been diagnosed with an STI.  More information can be found at this link:

Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York provides a wide range of reproductive and sexual health care services, including contraception and emergency contraception, abortion care, STI/HIV testing and treatment, PrEP, gynecological care, and gender-affirming hormone care. More information, including how to schedule an appointment, can be found at this link:

Trillium Health (https://www.trilliumhealth.org)  provides sexual health care (including, but not limited to, STI and HIV testing and treatment, as well as PrEP and PEP)  for individuals in Rochester and the surrounding areas.  They also provide gender-affirming care and resource links for transgender and non-binary individuals.  Finally, for those who find it difficult to travel to Rochester, they provide transportation services, telemedicine appointments, free at-home HIV test kits, and a pharmacy that can ship medications.

The Gender Health Services Program in the Division of Adolescent Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center provides hormone therapy, surgical services, and voice therapy, as well as social work and counseling.  More information can be found at this link:
